SECOND YEAR:
Youth who have completed their first year of sacramental preparation for Confirmation are eligible to begin their second year of faith formation. Re-enrollment is required to continue onto the second year of the Confirmation Process.
During the second year youth will put into practice the works of mercy and the talents they have to complete 10 hours of service to their community by helping in the parish life.
Example of service: Help in the Church: help with First comunion kids classes on Mondays, help for the Jamaica, or novenas in December, become a lector or help the ushers on Sundays, o help in the office during the summer.
Confirmation Saint Name: As Confirmation Candidates, each teen will choose a saint’s name that symbolizes a new beginning in their faith life and a connection to that particular saint. If you feel that you have not been particularly strong in your faith and are now making a renewed commitment to your faith, the taking of a new name symbolizes this commitment. This new name will be used at the moment of confirmation.
Confirmation Retreat: Each youth will experience a day of reflection to deepen their faith in a retreat. The retreat date will be provided.
